Step‑by‑Step Instructions for Zesty Bacon Cream Cheese Bagels
  1. In a medium bowl, combine softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, diced cooked bacon, mayonnaise, and sour cream. Add hot sauce, then season with salt and pepper. Mix until smooth.
  2. Slice a thin layer off the bottom of each bagel to create a flat base. Hollow out the insides, keeping the top intact to hold the filling.
  3. Spoon the cream cheese mixture into each hollowed bagel, smoothing the tops for even distribution.
  4. Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F). Arrange filled bagels on a baking tray and bake for 12-15 minutes until tops are golden and bubbly.
  5. Remove from oven, let cool slightly, and garnish with reserved bacon bits and chopped chives. Serve warm.
