Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Generously season the whole turkey inside and out with salt and pepper, then stuff it with your prepared stuffing mixture.
- Transfer the seasoned turkey into a large roasting pan, breast-side up, and cover loosely with aluminum foil.
- In a pot, bring water to a boil and add your mixed vegetables. Cook for 5-7 minutes until tender, then drain.
- In a mixing bowl, combine pumpkin puree, heavy cream, cinnamon, nutmeg, and brown sugar, and stir until smooth.
- Transfer your pumpkin mixture into a baking dish and place it in the oven alongside the turkey after an hour of cooking.
- Continue roasting both dishes for approximately three hours, removing the foil from the turkey in the last 30 minutes.
- Once roasted, remove the turkey from the oven and let it rest for 20 minutes before carving.
