Preparation Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine 8 ounces of softened cream cheese with 1 cup of sweetened condensed milk. Using a hand mixer or whisk, blend until smooth and creamy, about 2 minutes. Gradually add in 1 package of French vanilla pudding mix and 2 cups of milk, mixing until there are no lumps, approximately 3 minutes.
- In a large glass dish or trifle bowl, layer 1 cup of vanilla wafers at the bottom to form a sturdy base.
- Slice 2 ripe bananas and layer them evenly over the vanilla wafers, followed by 1 cup of fresh strawberries.
- Gently pour half of the creamy pudding mixture over the layered fruit, ensuring even distribution.
- Add another layer of vanilla wafers, followed by the remaining banana slices and strawberries. Pour the rest of the creamy pudding mixture over this new layer.
- Spread 2 cups of whipped topping evenly over the final layer of pudding.
- Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
