Step-by-Step Instructions
- Begin by preheating your oven broiler to medium-high. Lay out two slices of sourdough bread on a baking sheet and broil for 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove the baking sheet and flip the bread slices over. Place 1-2 ounces of sharp cheddar cheese on one slice and broil for another 1-2 minutes until melted.
- Take the slice with the cheddar and layer it with 10 slices of pickled jalapeños. On the second slice, spread 1 tablespoon of grainy Dijon mustard and drizzle honey over it.
- Place thin slices of honeycrisp apple over the mustard layer, followed by 5-6 slices of red onion and a handful of arugula. Sprinkle ½ cup of kettle potato chips on top.
- Carefully place the cheese slice on top of the assembled toppings, pressing down gently. Slice the sandwich in half diagonally and enjoy!
