Dough Preparation
- In a large mixing bowl, combine bread flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, yeast, and a pinch of salt.
- Melt butter over low heat until browned, then mix with pumpkin puree and milk powder.
- Gradually blend this mixture into the dry ingredients until a smooth dough forms.
- Cover with a damp cloth and let rise in a warm area for about 1-2 hours, or until the dough has doubled in size.
Filling Preparation
- Mix brown sugar and pumpkin pie spice in a small bowl.
- Once the dough has risen, turn it out onto a floured surface and roll it into a large rectangle, about ¼-inch thick.
- Evenly spread the spiced brown sugar mixture across the surface of the dough, leaving small borders.
Rolling and Cutting
- Carefully roll the dough into a tight log, starting from one of the longer sides.
- Slice the log into 12 equal pieces using a sharp knife or dental floss.
- Place the cut rolls upright in a greased baking dish, ensuring they are spaced evenly.
- Cover the dish with a cloth and allow them to rise a second time for about 30-45 minutes.
Baking
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Uncover and place the baking dish in the preheated oven.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and internal temperature is around 190°F.
Frosting Preparation
- While the rolls are baking, mix the room temperature cream cheese, browned butter, and confectioners sugar in a medium bowl.
- Use an electric mixer on medium speed until smooth and creamy.
Frosting the Rolls
- Once the rolls are out of the oven, allow them to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes.
- Spread the creamy frosting over the warm rolls, allowing it to melt slightly.
- Serve immediately for best experience.
