Method

Dough Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine bread flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, yeast, and a pinch of salt.
  2. Melt butter over low heat until browned, then mix with pumpkin puree and milk powder.
  3. Gradually blend this mixture into the dry ingredients until a smooth dough forms.
  4. Cover with a damp cloth and let rise in a warm area for about 1-2 hours, or until the dough has doubled in size.
Filling Preparation
  1. Mix brown sugar and pumpkin pie spice in a small bowl.
  2. Once the dough has risen, turn it out onto a floured surface and roll it into a large rectangle, about ¼-inch thick.
  3. Evenly spread the spiced brown sugar mixture across the surface of the dough, leaving small borders.
Rolling and Cutting
  1. Carefully roll the dough into a tight log, starting from one of the longer sides.
  2. Slice the log into 12 equal pieces using a sharp knife or dental floss.
  3. Place the cut rolls upright in a greased baking dish, ensuring they are spaced evenly.
  4. Cover the dish with a cloth and allow them to rise a second time for about 30-45 minutes.
Baking
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Uncover and place the baking dish in the preheated oven.
  3. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and internal temperature is around 190°F.
Frosting Preparation
  1. While the rolls are baking, mix the room temperature cream cheese, browned butter, and confectioners sugar in a medium bowl.
  2. Use an electric mixer on medium speed until smooth and creamy.
Frosting the Rolls
  1. Once the rolls are out of the oven, allow them to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes.
  2. Spread the creamy frosting over the warm rolls, allowing it to melt slightly.
  3. Serve immediately for best experience.
