  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and warm a 9x13-inch baking pan for about 5 minutes. Melt ½ cup of butter in the pan until bubbly.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together 1 cup of milk, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and 1 cup of granulated sugar until smooth. Mix in 1.5 cups of flour, 1 tablespoon of baking powder, 0.25 teaspoon of salt, and 2 teaspoons of cinnamon until just combined.
  3. Spoon the batter carefully over the melted butter in the baking pan, creating a layered effect.
