Step‑by‑Step Instructions for Yaki Udon with Shrimp
  1. Prepare the Udon: Boil the udon noodles according to package instructions, about 5-7 minutes. Drain, rinse under cold water, and drizzle with neutral oil.
  2. Sauté Vegetables: Heat 1 tablespoon of neutral oil in a skillet, add garlic, cook briefly, then add mushrooms, onion, and carrot. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Cook Shrimp: In the same skillet, add 2 tablespoons of oil and shrimp. Cook for 2-3 minutes until pink. Add soy sauce and season with salt.
  4. Combine Dish: Add udon to the skillet and fry on high heat for 2-3 minutes. Pour in sauce mixture, mixing well.
  5. Serve: Remove from heat, add sautéed vegetables and spring onions. Plate immediately and garnish as desired.
