  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) for optimal cooking.
  2. Season the chicken thighs with onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet and sear chicken thighs skin-side down until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Flip the chicken and add sliced onions and apples around it in the skillet.
  5. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and roast for 20-25 minutes until cooked through.
  6. Prepare the sauce by adding butter, apple cider, broth or wine, mustard, and minced garlic to the skillet, simmering until thickened.
