For the Chicken

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil.
  2. Combine all marinade ingredients in a mixing bowl and whisk until smooth.
  3. Place chicken thighs in a resealable bag and pour half the marinade over them. Seal and massage the marinade into the chicken.
  4. Refrigerate the chicken for at least 2 hours or overnight for more flavor.
  5. Remove chicken from the refrigerator and let it reach room temperature (about 30 minutes).
  6. Arrange marinated thighs on the foil-lined baking sheet, spaced apart.
  7. Bake chicken for 25 to 30 minutes, until internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  8. While chicken is baking, heat the reserved marinade in a saucepan and boil until thickened (about 10 minutes).
  9. Brush the chicken with the thickened marinade after baking.
  10. Broil chicken for an additional 2 to 3 minutes for extra char.
  11. Allow chicken to rest before slicing and serve with steamed rice and vegetables.
