Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your baking dish.
  2. Season pork chops with salt and pepper, then brown them in a skillet with vegetable oil for 4-5 minutes per side.
  3. Sauté onion and garlic in the same skillet until softened, then add flour to create a roux.
  4. Gradually whisk in milk and chicken broth, cooking until the sauce thickens.
  5. Layer half of the potatoes, half of the sauce, and cheese in the baking dish. Repeat the layers, finishing with remaining sauce and paprika.
  6. Place seared pork chops on top, cover with foil, and bake for 1 hour.
  7. Remove foil and bake uncovered for an additional 15-20 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  8. Let rest for 10 minutes before serving, garnished with parsley.
