Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Melt 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add 3 minced garlic cloves and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Stir in 1 cup of orzo pasta and 3 cups of chicken broth. Bring to a gentle simmer and cook for about 10 minutes.
- Add 1 pound of peeled and deveined shrimp and 1/2 cup of heavy cream. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until shrimp are pink.
- Remove from heat and stir in 1/2 cup of freshly grated parmesan cheese. Season with salt and pepper.
- Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the dish and fold in 1/4 cup of chopped parsley.
- Spoon into bowls and garnish with additional parmesan and parsley if desired.
