Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Pound the pork chops to a uniform thickness of about 1/4 inch on a cutting board.
  2. In a bowl, combine garlic powder, salt, Shaoxing wine, and sesame oil to create a marinade. Marinate the pork for 15-20 minutes.
  3. Prepare the sauce by whisking together honey, light soy sauce, lemon juice, white pepper, black pepper, and water.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (176°C).
  5. Coat marinated pork in the cornstarch and flour mixture, and fry in batches for 1-2 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  6. After frying, sauté minced garlic in the skillet for about 30 seconds.
  7. Add the prepared sauce to the skillet and stir constantly until it thickens into a syrupy consistency.
  8. Return the fried pork to the skillet and toss in the sauce until coated.
