  • 1 cup jasmine rice rinsed
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 pinch salt
For the Beef
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil for cooking
  • 1 pound ground beef browned
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 inch ginger minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
For the Vegetables
  • 1 cup diced bell peppers
  • 2 pieces green onions sliced
For Garnish

  • sesame seeds

Method
 

Cooking Steps
  1. Rinse jasmine rice under cold water until it runs clear. In a pot, add water and salt, boil, then add rice, reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes.
  2. In a skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add ground beef, breaking apart. Cook for 5-7 minutes until browned and cooked through.
  3. Reduce heat, add minced garlic and ginger, and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Stir in soy sauce, brown sugar, and sesame oil. Cook for 2-3 minutes, mixing until sticky.
  5. Add diced bell peppers and sliced green onions. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until vegetables are tender.
  6. Serve the beef mixture over fluffy jasmine rice. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
