Step-by-Step Instructions

  2. Add sliced kielbasa and cook for 4-5 minutes, until browned and crispy on the edges.
  3. In the same pot, sauté one chopped onion and 2 minced garlic cloves for about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Add 4 cups of cubed potatoes and 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika, stirring to coat.
  5. Pour in 6 cups of chicken broth, increase the heat to bring to a gentle simmer for about 10 minutes.
  6. Allow the soup to simmer for 10-12 minutes, or until the potatoes are fork-tender.
  7. Return the browned kielbasa to the pot, along with 1 teaspoon of dried thyme, salt, and pepper to taste.
  8. Stir in 1 cup of heavy cream and mix until fully blended.
