Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with olive oil.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil and brown the ground beef for 5-7 minutes, breaking it up as it cooks.
  3. Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 3-4 minutes until translucent.
  4. Transfer the beef mixture to the baking dish, layer sliced potatoes over top, and season with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and paprika.
  5. Sprinkle cheddar and Parmesan cheese over the potatoes, then pour beef broth or water around the edges.
  6. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes, then remove foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
