Method
 

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Gather ingredients and clean work space. Preheat oven to 310°F.
  2. Combine egg whites and granulated sugar in a heatproof bowl and whisk until dissolved.
  3. Sift almond flour and powdered sugar, then fold into meringue gently.
  4. Pipe uniform circles of batter onto parchment-lined sheets.
  5. Rest piped macarons for 20-40 minutes until skin forms.
  6. Bake macarons for 15-20 minutes, rotating trays halfway.
  7. Cream butter, add sugar and other filling ingredients, and mix until smooth.
  8. Pipe buttercream onto half of the macarons, then top with the other half.
  9. Allow assembled macarons to cure in the fridge for 24 hours.
