- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9” x 13” baking pan with cooking spray or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine granulated sugar, melted unsalted butter, vegetable oil, eggs, and molasses. Mix well for about 2-3 minutes until smooth and creamy.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, unsweetened cocoa powder, kosher salt, and ground spices.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined. Stir in a splash of vanilla extract.
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes. After that, turn the oven off and let the brownies sit inside for an additional 15 minutes.
- Remove the brownies from the oven and allow them to cool completely in the pan before slicing.
