  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened (2 sticks)
  • 4 cloves garlic minced

  • 1 tablespoon fresh chives finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Method
 

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, chives, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Using a fork or a hand mixer, blend the ingredients together until well combined and creamy.
  3. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary, adding more salt or lemon juice to your preference.
  4. Transfer the garlic butter to a piece of parchment paper or plastic wrap. Roll it into a log shape and twist the ends to seal.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to firm up. For longer storage, freeze for up to 3 months.
  6. When ready to use, slice off pieces as needed and spread on bread, vegetables, or meats.
