Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Warm ½ cup of water to 105°F-115°F, stir in sugar and yeast; let sit 5 mins until bubbly.
  2. Combine pumpkin purée, honey, melted butter, and one beaten egg in stand mixer. Add yeast mixture and mix well.
  3. Gradually add flour and salt while mixing with dough hook until soft and slightly sticky.
  4. Cover dough in greased bowl with cling film; let rise for 1-1.5 hours until doubled in size.
  5. Punch down dough, divide into 12 portions, roll into balls, place in greased dish, let rise 30 mins.
  6. Preheat oven to 375°F, brush rolls with egg, bake for 25-30 mins until golden brown.
  7. Whip together softened butter, brown sugar, spices, and salt until light and fluffy for whipped spice butter.
  8. Serve warm rolls with whipped spice butter once cooled slightly.
