  • 4 cups Cubed Bread French or sourdough, stale bread works great

  • 1 medium Onion Sautéed for flavor
  • 1 cup Bell Peppers Can be swapped with spinach or zucchini

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, sauté diced onion and bell peppers until soft, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Add sausage to the skillet, cooking for 6-8 minutes until browned.
  4. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs and milk for 1-2 minutes until combined.
  5. Add sautéed sausage and vegetables to the egg mixture, followed by cubed bread and shredded cheese. Fold gently.
  6. Season with salt, pepper, and any additional seasonings, stirring to combine.
  7. Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish and pour the mixture evenly into the dish.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and firm to the touch.
  9. Let cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.
