Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and sauté diced onion and minced garlic until soft, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Allow the mixture to cool slightly and then combine it with sausage meat, dried sage, thyme, black pepper, and salt.
  4. On a lightly floured surface, roll out puff pastry to about 1/8-inch thick.
  5. Combine the cooled onion mixture with sausage meat, spoon filling onto the edge of the pastry, and roll tightly.
  6. Cut the rolled pastry into 2-inch segments and place them on a baking sheet.
  7. Cut slits on the top of each roll, brush with beaten egg, and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool slightly on a wire rack, then serve warm.
