Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and nutmeg. Then, add the eggs and beat until smooth. Gradually add eggnog while whisking until combined.
  3. Cut the stale bread into cubes and place them into the prepared baking dish. Pour the custard mixture over the bread and gently toss to coat.
  4. Let the dish rest covered with aluminum foil for 30 minutes at room temperature.
  5. Remove the foil and bake for 45 to 55 minutes, or until the pudding is golden brown and set.
