For the Bread
  • 8 slices Hearty White Bread Use day-old rustic French or brioche.
  • 2 tbsp Butter For greasing the griddle.

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 225°F to keep finished French toast warm and set your electric griddle to 350°F.
  2. In a large shallow dish, whisk together pumpkin puree, eggs, brown sugar, vanilla, half and half, and spices until well combined.
  3. Dip each slice of hearty white bread into the custard mixture for about 15-20 seconds on each side.
  4. Lightly butter the griddle or skillet to prevent sticking and enhance flavor.
  5. Cook soaked bread slices on the griddle for 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Flip the slices and cook for another 3-4 minutes until both sides are golden brown.
  7. Transfer cooked slices to the preheated oven to keep warm for up to 10 minutes.
  8. Serve warm, drizzled with maple syrup or your favorite toppings.
