Step-by-Step Instructions

  6. Pour the custard over the layered brioche, pressing down slightly.
  7. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, ideally overnight.
  8. Remove from the fridge and let sit for about 30 minutes before baking.
  9. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes, then uncover and bake for an additional 25-30 minutes until golden.
  10. Let sit for a few minutes, then cut into squares and serve, garnished with strawberries and optional confectioners' sugar.
