Ingredients
Scale
2 pounds bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 large eggs
1 cup buttermilk
1 cup hot honey (store-bought or homemade)
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, season the chicken thighs with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, eggs, and buttermilk until smooth.
Dip each seasoned chicken thigh into the flour mixture, ensuring it is fully coated. Shake off any excess flour and place the chicken on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake the chicken in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F and the skin is crispy.
While the chicken is baking, combine the hot honey and apple cider vinegar in a small saucepan over low heat. Stir until warmed through and well combined.
Once the chicken is done, remove it from the oven and drizzle the hot honey mixture over the chicken thighs.
Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
For a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the seasoning mix.
For a healthier option, use skinless chicken breasts and bake them for 25-30 minutes.
