A rich and flavorful ribeye steak infused with bourbon and garlic cream, perfect for a special occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ pounds ribeye steak
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
  • 4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • ½ cup bourbon whiskey
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon whole grain mustard
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Allow the ribeye steak to sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Transfer to a plate and let rest.
  3. Lower the heat to medium and add chopped garlic to the skillet, stirring for about a minute until aromatic.
  4. Pour the bourbon into the skillet, scraping up any bits stuck to the bottom. Allow to bubble and reduce for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Add heavy whipping cream, soy sauce, and whole grain mustard to the skillet. Simmer for about 5 minutes until creamy.
  6. Slice the rested steak against the grain and return to the skillet, coating in the sauce.
  7. Plate the steak and drizzle with remaining sauce, garnishing with chopped parsley.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a dash of smoked paprika to the sauce.
  • Pair with roasted vegetables or creamy polenta.
