Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup whole milk, warmed to about 110°F
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup Biscoff cookie butter
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 12 tablespoons milk (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Mix the warm milk with the granulated sugar and active dry yeast in a large bowl. Allow to rest for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Incorporate the melted butter and egg, whisking until combined.
  3. Gradually fold in the flour and salt, stirring until a cohesive dough forms.
  4. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place the kneaded dough into a greased bowl, cover with a kitchen towel, and let rise in a warm area for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  6. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  7. Roll out the dough on a floured surface into a rectangle measuring about 12×18 inches.
  8. Spread the Biscoff cookie butter generously across the surface of the dough.
  9. In a separate bowl, combine the brown sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle evenly over the cookie butter layer.
  10. Roll the dough tightly from one long edge to the other, forming a log.
  11. Slice the log into 12 equal pieces and arrange them in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  12. Cover the dish with a towel and let the rolls rise for an additional 30 minutes.
  13. Bake the rolls in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  14. Prepare the glaze by mixing the powdered sugar with 1-2 tablespoons of milk until smooth.
  15. Drizzle the glaze over the warm cinnamon rolls and enjoy!

Notes

  • Ensure the milk is warmed to about 110°F for optimal yeast activation.
  • For a richer flavor, you can add more Biscoff cookie butter in the filling.
  • These rolls are best enjoyed warm on the day they are made.
